The sexual life of man took its present shape a long time ago, at a time when a man as a species gradually had been separated from the rest of the animal world. This popular science book describes (in Polish) how was born the human form of sexuality. The author reaches for the latest knowledge from many disciplines of science: evolutionary biology, social anthropology, archeology and history, and psychology to describe how human sexuality was born. He reviews main concepts in this field, critically analyzes them and in some cases, suggests a new perspective on key issues.

The book may be recognized as a Desmond Morris "The Naked Ape" 45 years after.
